Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.06%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.06%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE), which rose 7.62% or 14.30 points to trade at 202.00 at the close. Meanwhile, EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) added 7.21% or 3.08 points to end at 45.80 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 6.29% or 6.60 points to 111.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which fell 3.33% or 7.20 points to trade at 208.80 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 2.48% or 2.35 points to end at 92.25 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was down 2.42% or 0.32 points to 12.91.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 303 to 254 and 20 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.80% or 46.25 to $2,616.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.56% or 1.71 to hit $68.63 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.49% or 1.77 to trade at $72.81 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.51% to 34.60, while EUR/TRY rose 0.32% to 36.61.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 106.43.
