Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.79%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.79%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr), which rose 4.12% or 0.31 points to trade at 7.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) added 3.81% or 0.04 points to end at 1.09 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was up 3.40% or 0.11 points to 3.19 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which fell 1.74% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.70 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 1.57% or 0.52 points to end at 32.62 and Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr) was down 1.41% or 0.18 points to 12.62.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 89 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.73% or 20.00 to $2,775.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.59% or 0.40 to hit $66.98 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.47 to trade at $70.53 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.31.
